Meet the Photographer
I am is a self-taught nature photographer based in northern Minnesota.
Born and raised in central Minnesota, I was taught from an early age how to hunt and fish. Spending so much time outdoors led to an appreciation for the wild areas around me. Initially, I got into photography just as a way to take photos of what I saw when I was out in the woods or fishing, but it turned out I really enjoyed taking photos. Starting in 2018, I really started taking my photography seriously and my passion grew immensely.
Currently, I am a graduate student in the biology program at Bemidji State University where I am studying the ecology of Emerald Bowfin (Amia ocellicauda) populations around Minnesota. I plan on incorporating my passion of photography into my future career as a biologist. I am interested in a wide variety of subjects; native flora and fauna, underwater photography, astrophotography, and weather/storm photography being the main focus of my images.
Also, I am an avid film photographer and film camera collector!
